What happens to the money raised?

During 2003/4 we have provided equipment for Doctors Surgeries, Schools and individuals whose lives have been much improved. We also provide Medic alert bracelets, and nebulisers for people with relevant illnesses.

Amongst the International projects, this organisation supports are The Street Children Programme, working in partnership with UNICEF to deliver education, vocational training and shelter to children living on the streets and the support of vulnerable families enabling them to provide for their children. This work takes place in Brazil, India, Romania and the UK, amongst other countries.

We also support the Shoe Box appeal that our Lions District co-ordinates which goes to Gomel in Belarus in the autumn

Lions Clubs International is also significantly involved in strategies to prevent sight disorders both in this country and around the globe.
