What is a virtual assistant?

A Virtual Assistant is a self-employed, independent professional who carries out office services to businesses, organisations and individuals i.e. sole traders, freelancers, charities, community groups, small, medium and large companies etc. from their own premises, using their own resources. They work virtually, which means they are not permanent members of staff and are available round the clock. Due to modern technology, your VA is wherever you are by internet connection.
