| When
arranging to book the
band, we have found the following to be helpful: i) The organisers contact name, address (or E-mail address) and telephone number, ii) The venue location and full address. iii) Date of event together with required start and finishing times. iv) Agreement of a fee for the Band. v) Access for the Band to the inside of the venue at least 45 minutes prior to the planned start of the dance. vi) The reason for the event, e.g. Club event, wedding, birthday, anniversary, special occasion etc., vii) The type of the event, e.g. Barn Dance, Hoe Down, Ceilidh, Country Dance, Burns evening etc. viii) If a supper / buffet is being offered to the guests please advise whether the offer is also being extended to the band. ix) The Splendid Shilling will return a written confirmation of the agreed details. We provide, the caller (although the band does often work with other "callers" of the organisor's choosing), the musicians, and our own high quality sound and amplification system. |
