Me, aged... err... young

Well... I thought it was about time I updated this page properly... the old one was over 2 years old and things have changed a bit since then so here goes.

One thing hasn't changed, there still isn't that much to tell about me, I'm Lee Whiting, I live in a little town called Ilkeston which is just outside Nottingham (which is in England for the yanks who can't see past their own ego's)... I'm 28 years old. I am about 5'8"... blonde hair, blue eyes... my main interests are computers, guitars, football and have a good laugh. Computers... I love em, always have, had one since I was about 8 (the old Dragon 32) and haven't looked back since, I program a little, play a few games but as you can probably tell my main interest lie on line, I love designing web pages (which I do for a living), and going on ICQ and generally anoying everyone I can ;) ... Guitars... love to play guitar, I only play acoustic, not struck on electrics at all... I'm not very good but I enjoy it and enjoy singing too (even worse at singing)... I have no aspirations of fame and fortune I just enjoy it and thats what it's all about to me. Football... love football with a passion... I'm a Chelsea fan, who i'm pleased to say are doing pretty well these days (makes a chnage!)... we are currently in the champions league (playing AC Milan tonight ;) )... I love to play too although my knees and back have gotten pretty bad so I don't play as much anymore. I just love life really, I don't get too deep about anything (usually) and just try to have fun and enjoy life... someone made an entry into my guestbook that I thought summed me up a little too well... it said '......i find it refreshing that while the rest of us are out looking at the big picture and trying to determine our reason for being you are just content to be....' I thought that was really nice :) ok, what else?... Jack... my 4 year old son, the light of my life, thats why I don't need to determine my reason for being, I have it already... he really does make my life better (until the little swine tips my cd's all over! ;) )... then there's Anj, I live with Anj again after we had a bit of a lay off... she's pretty much the opposite to me, quiet, sensible, shy a bit reserved... so I guess its true what they say about opposites... or maybe I'm just addicted to the nagging! ;) I had a bit in the old version of this page that I think I'll put back in... a few of my mates and I used to play Dungeons & Dragons, there used to be the five of us who always used to play, we used to do everything together come to think of it, I miss those days and those guys, Mick Creevy was one of them, there was also Rob Ryan, Leigh Southern and John Latimer, christ do I miss them and those days, it's like one of those films, like Stand By Me, a group of lads that just never want to let go and when they do they hardly ever see each other again, funny really, I live just around the corner from John (now a bible basher, the only one I have ever seen that is 6'+, built like a brick shed and with a grim reaper tattoo on his arm, you definitely wouldn't invite this jovo into your house :-)) and Leigh lives 2 doors down from my mothers (who I visit allot) but I never see him, and when I do it's just a quick nod of heads, I see Rob now and again but not as often as we could, and Mick I see all the time but it's not the same as the 5 of us, who knows, I may write a book about it one day :-) (oops, looks like I have already). Oh... another big hobby of mine is the camps that I go on... it's not an ordinary camp, it's a western camp, we dress up in all the gear which has to be authentic, do quick draws (which is quite a serious thing... computerised times and everyhing), eat vile stew cooked on an open fire... get dirty, sweaty and collect some stank!... but by god it's a laugh, thats where we do The Brass Monkey's bit... which is a comic band comprising of me, Jody and a guest member each time now as Roger was the third member but sadly passed on last year (although we had Eddy last time and he did very well, so he may take over perminantly... if he bribes me with enough cash ;) )... we do all sorts of daft stuff, from puff the magic dragon to the chain gang... you have to be there to understand, trust me ;)

I think that'll about do it... now wake up, it's over! ;)

Got another son now... Sam, he was born on the 25th of may 2000. He's really good, sleeps all night (after 2 months)... just likes loads of attention ;)
