On 6th February 2002, the band travelled to Italy to participate in the Carnevale del Pollino Folk Festival in the town of Castrovillari in the provence of Calabria in Southern Italy. |  |

For one week at a variety of public events, the band made up part of an International Folklore contingent which entertained the public at a variety of daily street parades and evening concerts. The band put on a professional performance every time which was well received by both the local people and the town dignitaries. The programme was hectic but a good time was had by one and all!
