As well as regularly competing, the band turns out for street parades, and other public events.

Primarily intended as a source of income for the band, it also gives the event, as well as the band, publicity and encourages sponsorship and support from local organisations.

These things aside, a Pipe Band's attendance adds to the occasion of an event, and is often highly sought after by most local organisers.

Events range from ship launches and marches, to seasonal attractions and even Circus Clown parades!

We also hold an annual concert in the Johnstone United Services Club and turn out for Armistice Sunday in Johnstone Town Centre each November.

George Johnstone book & CD In July 1999, the band produced a CD of our current music. One of the band members, George Johnston, also published a book of his own tunes, one of which the band played during seasons 2000 and 2001 to excellent reviews.

In August 1999 the band attended the Festival St.Malo in Brittany, France by invitation on a six day tour. We returned to Brittany in July 2000 for the Folklore du Monde Festival in St.Malo and an International Folk Festival in Vitre. In October 2000 the band were invited on a weekend tour to Paisley's twin town of Furth in Germany and in the past year we have also performed at the BAA Youth Games and the City Halls, both in Glasgow, and at Sma' Shot Day in Paisley.

In February 2002 the band also participated in the Carnevale del Pollino Folklore Festival in Castrovillari in Southern Italy.

If you are interested in contacting the band regarding any events you may be organising, please do not hesitate to contact us.
