Parking Gates and Stands
parking

There are new parking arrangements at Cardiff Airport, both Twr 125.000 and Approach controllers 125.850 will allocate parking to all landing aircraft as per the charts. Although it is recognised that many virtual pilots will have either default scenery or the excellent Gary Summons scenery, the new parking will be used at all times.

This means that pilots with default or the UK200 scenery must ignore all markings on the ground and familiarise themselves with the parking as you can see it on the chart.

In the real world the West pier as per the chart has been demolished but in the virtual world it still exists. To this end no aircraft will be parked on stand 13, but 12, 14, 15, 16, and 17 at the west end of the apron will be used. Below the chart I have placed images of each of the stands at the default EGFF in FSX. There will be know difference between FSX and FS2004 (FS9) all aircraft will be parked as per the chart. There will not be markings on the grd as in the images although I could place signs in the afcad like taxi signs but mark them like STD 1, we will see I might experiment.
