WX Rosedale moved up to third place in Division 3 of the Saracens Herts Cricket League with a victory at North Enfield on Saturday.
Captain, Paul Fuller, elected to bat but Rosedale were soon in trouble on a slow pitch as they struggled to 24 for 4 from the first 11 overs. Paul Morrison (28) and Paras Patel (22) posted a partnership of 49 but when both were dismissed within the 21st over, Nortn Enfield looked to have the upper hand again. Fortunately, Rosedale's in depth batting strength came to the rescue as Prad Zala (41), Paul Fuller (35) and Kevin Day (30) ensured the total reached a competitive 190.
North Enfield replied catiously as the total reached 21 from the first 9 overs without loss. From this point, wickets tumbled regularly with only number 3, Conway(32), providing any meaningful resistance as the home side were dismissed for only 91. Kevin Day lead the wickets takers with 4 for 16 but was supported by Kuldip Parmar (3 for 25), Lewis Bullock (2 for 11) and Amish Patel (1 for 13).
