Reasons why not to choose Mac

Well that's easy. <P>While there are lots of brands and variety of models to choose from, whatever you end up with, the chances are, it will be one that comes pre-installed with the ubiquitous <A HREF="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Microsoft" TARGET="_blank" TITLE="Wikipedia: Microsoft">Microsoft</A> <A HREF="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Microsoft_Windows" TARGET="_blank" TITLE="Wikipedia: Microsoft Windows">Windows</A> <A HREF="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Operating_system" TARGET="_blank" TITLE="Wikipedia: Operating system">operating system.</A> And why not indeed? <P>It's unarguable that a significant portion of PCs sold, are to people whom computers are somewhat of an enigma. So usually, they will simply do what everyone else does. They will not consider, or reject the idea of choosing any PC that is not a <A HREF="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/IBM_PC_compatible" TARGET="_blank" TITLE="Wikipedia: PC">Windows PC,</A> often not fully aware there's even a choice. This immediately excludes the option of an <A HREF="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Apple_Computer" TARGET="_blank" TITLE="Wikipedia: Apple">Apple</A> <A HREF="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Apple_Macintosh" TARGET="_blank" TITLE="Wikipedia: Apple Macintosh">Macintosh</A> instead. (See page <A HREF="whatisamac.html" TITLE="Go to 'What is a Macintosh?'">"What is a Macintosh?"</A> ) <P>What we hope to achieve here is to question this decision by asking, <I>"Should they be so hasty?"</I> <P><B>Mais pourquoi?</B> <P>Inspired as I was by reasons expressed by people who were at least <I>aware</I> of the Macintosh, but still decided to give it a miss in their computer buying decisions, in favour of a <I>"proper"</I> PC, I decided to put together this list of the most common reasons I'd heard for making that decision. Some of these reasons have some validity for some people in some circumstances, and not easily worked around.
