Prospects

March 2nd

Come to our morning service and find out about the work of this charity, who are starting up a new venture in our area. There will be an opportunity to ask questions and to support their work.

Rainbows (Grief Support)

Please continue to pray for this initiative, which is aimed at helping children whose parents are divorcing or who have been bereaved to come to terms with what is happening and to find ways to move on. The first planned series of meetings has had to be postponed, and will now take place probably in the autumn of this year.

Churches Together in Woodley

Sunday 27th April at 6.30pm Big Worship Event in St. James Church Centre!
Christians from all over Woodley will be meeting to praise God. The guest speaker will be John Madley.

Sunday 8th June - Praise in the Park Please come along and make this outdoor service a great witness to the presence of God in the Woodley Carnival. You could follow up by supporting the CTW Megamarquee the following week on the Carnival ground.

Change of Minister

In August, Revd Mike Hill will be moving on and it is likely that we will not have a minister to replace him for a while. Our next minister will come from the United Reformed Church, and the process is getting underway but it can take some time. In the meanwhile, we will receive support from the Methodist Circuit and there will be someone to whom we can turn if we need to. Our thoughts and prayers go with Mike and Gwen, and we wish them every blessing in this new phase of their life. Mike's last service in Woodley will be on August 3rd.

Christian Community Action

CCA have now completed the move to the new warehouse in Cardiff Road and have started collecting and delivering  furniture again. A huge amount of work had to be done to ensure that the old premises were in good order when they were vacated. The stock and equipment then had to be  transferred to the new smaller location in which enough furniture can be stored to meet the needs of the people who turn to CCA for help
Please note that unlike the previous way of operating the new warehouse will not be open to the public either for sales of surplus furniture or to drop-off donated furniture.
For further information please see the CCA website http://www.ccam.org.uk// or contact mail@ccam.org.uk tel: 0870 240 2187 (furniture donations).
