Most of the Airfield Church's children's activities take place on a Sunday in our Sunday Club which is for three year olds and over. This group runs in parallel with part of the adult worship.

In addition we run fortnightly children's clubs in the C of E school.  Junior Bible Club for older children, takes place after the school day is over on Thursday afternoons between 3.15. and 4.15. pm and Allsorts for the younger children is at 12.30.

Sunday Club has around four or five children with a staff of three leaders and helpers as required.kid1.jpg (165418 bytes)

On the first Sunday in the month the whole church family worships together in our all age service. On all other Sundays children start off in the adult worship for 10 minutes or so, after which they leave with their leaders for Sunday Club and return towards the end of the adult worship. Except when there is communion, one of the Sunday Club groups will present to the adults some of the work they have been doing.

Sunday club aims to provide a balanced mix of worship, teaching, craft and other activities and is very popular with the children.

The aim of Junior Bible Club and Allsorts is to introduce children at the Woodley C of E primary school to the basics of Christianity in a fun way. Our hope is to attract children whose parents would not be likely to bring their children to church on a Sunday. We hope to encourage many of the club members to come and join us on a Sunday too. Junior Bible Club meets monthly on a Wednesday afternoon between 3.15 and 4.15 pm. Please contact one of the staff team for more information.

Members of the Airfield Church are regularly involved in leading school assemblies in the Woodley area.

If you would like more information about any of our children's activities, or if you have a suggestion about other activities we should consider providing, please contact one of the staff members.
