WORTHING MINORS YOUTH UNDER 8'S
2003-2004.
INTRODUCTION PAGE.
Hello and welcome to the worthing minor's under 8's website.
Allow me to introduce myself. My name is Marc Rashbrook and I
am the manager of the Worthing Minors under 8's Youth team. Last
year was my first year in youth football management and I was thrown
into the deep end left to manage a team of which 2 of the players were
my own sons, (Preston and Leighton). We had a fairly successfull season
in under 7's with the boys learning to come to grips with the
fundamentals of the game. The hardest thing to do is to get them to
play as a team as they all want to score goals! But they are now
beginning to pass the ball around and play as a unit. Please feel free
to browse around our site and take a look at possibly some England
players of the future.
Remember you saw them here first!
Benjamin Shepherd, A good all rounder good at tackling although his
passes are sometime a little soft and don't always reach their intended
target. He has come to grips with playing as part of a team very well and
could go far.
Callum Brewer, A new member of the squad who joined us towards the
end of last season. He tackles and clears well from in defence. Although he
lacks a bit of confidence, he could go along way.
Connor Grispino, joined at the beginning of the 2002-2003 season.
He is small on nippy on his feet but needs to chase the ball less when
there are other players of his team near the ball. however he is a good
tackler and passer of the ball.
Dexter Cozens, our newst member of the team, like to get stuck in despite
his size.
James neal, joined in the beginning of the 2003-2004 season. He is
lacking in confidence at the moment but is fitting in with the team
nicely.
Leighton Rashbrook, one of the original five players. He is a good
defender but doesn't like playing in that position. As with all players of
this age he likes to score goals. He is a good tackler and links well with
Preston up front.
Oliver Mulcahay has had an outstanding season as our number 1
goal keeper for the under 7's He has kept many clean sheets and
for this age group he has a great kick and is not affraid to come and
challenge for the ball. Well done olly, keep up the good work.
Preston Rashbrook, again one of the original five players. He plays
upfront. He is a good tackler and runs well with the ball.
He is not affraid to take people on, he scores some great goals. He just
needs to pass more sometimes.
Tyrone Madhani, one of the new boys. He is a big strong player but
sometimes mistimes his tackles.
