Man Down Town Live |
Noodling with George |
|
A new live album from Man is always a treat and Downtown Live is another worthy addition to the catalogue. Recorded in May 2001 at Downtown
Blues Club in Hamburg at the behest of Hans Werner, the album was put on hold as Gareth Thorrington had missed the gig and the band were reluctant
to release this without his contribution. However they have relented and will available from the band at
their web site Tracks The Ride And The View; Love Isn't Love; C'Mon; Hanging On; Conflict Of Interest; Popemobile; |
|
The first CD from Micky's son George (see the live dates section),is a five track offering called Noodles.Masterminded by George it
features the Old Man, Micky, on three of the tracks and is available from Northdown Sales.

Deke Leonard's first foray into book writing, Rhino's Wino's And Lunatics,
a history of Man from 1968 to 1976 has been re- published. Featuring
extra pictures and a new cover designed by Mary Hodge this is a great
chance to replace those copies that were lost or just generally dog-earred.
And don't forget Deke's second book, Maybe I Should Have Stayed In Bed, is also still available. The hilarious prequel to Rhinos's, it is also a valuable documentary on the 1960's South Wales music scene. |
|
| Both books are available from Michael Heatley at Northdown Publishing just E-Mail Northdown Sales. |
