Historically the farm was known as Bordland of Borgue. In these days the tax inspectors had free board while in the area collecting the taxes. Hence the name 'Bordland'. The owners have been traced all the way back to the 13th Century when the farm was at the centre of the Barony of Borgue and was owned by Princess Devorgilla of the Scots

We are pleased to say that many of our guests return year after year to enjoy Galloway and staying at the Boreland of Borgue.

We want you to enjoy your stay and we look forward to welcoming you personally to the Boreland of Borgue.
