    Fuel Prices Soaring

Fuel prices have risen massively and will continue to rise.
The typical annual gas bill has increased by about £400 since 2006.

If your heating system is more than 10 years old it could be 40% inefficient.
That means you are using 40% more fuel than necessary.
This will be recorded in a HIP when you come to sell causing serious devaluation.
A system upgrade can wipe out those fuel bill increases instantly,
and restore your property's value.
Your basic pipework circuit and radiators are probably fine, but new technology
developed in the last 10 years means that the rest of your system is seriously deficient.
Improving insulation to reduce heat loss is an obvious step but that is only half the
problem. It is relatively simple to upgrade your system to the latest levels of efficiency
(mandatory for all new housing) without major upheaval, and your gas or oil bill will come
tumbling down:

·         Fit a modern condensing boiler for maximum combustion efficiency and
       utilisation of exhaust heat.
·         Get complete control with the latest electronic instrumentation, ensuring that
the system is delivering just the right amount of heat to the right places at the
       right times.
·         Fit thermostatic radiator valves to keep individual room temperatures steady,
and also you can set little-used rooms down a couple of degrees.
·         Flush out the accumulated sludge from the pipework so that there is free flow
and all the radiators work efficiently.

There is no better investment than a heating system upgrade in terms of
payback period, future returns, and property value. It’s a no-brainer.

If you want to invest longer term against the inevitable rise of fossil fuel prices then you
should think about Solar Heating. The DTI has shown that an approved installation in
the Midlands will save over 70% of the annual cost of domestic hot water heating.
