Morning Walk in the Barnwell area 17 April 20005

	Setting out from Barnwell
	The herd of cows and calves paid us no attention
	Looking for footpaths? The bridleway here was disrupted by a flood-relief scheme all of two years ago, but a diversion is still in the talking stage.
	The path here was still only marked by wheelings
	Climbing the hill south of Barnwell along a good path cleared through the oil seed rape

	The path from North Lodge Farm to Broadway Corner is planted with beans and not restored despite problem reports going back to November.
	Returning to Barnwell along a good path restored through corn.

Morning Walk to Chelveston 20 February 20005

	Crossing the A6 Higham Ferrers bypass via the Stanwick Road footbridge
	The bottom path along the Bidwell Brook to Chelveston was sheltered from the cold north wind

	Crossing into Water Lane Chelveston. Although the path was ploughed as long ago as July 2004 it still has not been restored, despite repeated problem reports to the County Council. The path is marked by a few stakes, but these had only appeared in January.
