Reporting Path Problems

This crossfield path has been cultivated and not restored.

Footpath VC9, Slaters Lodge Higham Ferrers to Newton Bromswold, Grid Reference SP 977/674, in August 2001. This year (March 2004) the path is planted with crops and has not been restored. It has been reported to Northamptonshire County Council.

Footpaths today, generally speaking, are in much better condition than they used to be, but it is important to report problems like the unrestored crossfield path above, ploughed or planted headland paths (see the Ploughing Code), obstructed paths, broken stiles, damaged bridges, unopenable gates, and misleading notices.
