| Footpaths today, generally speaking, are in much better condition than they used to be, but it is important to report problems like the unrestored crossfield path above, ploughed or planted headland paths (see the Ploughing Code), obstructed paths, broken stiles, damaged bridges, unopenable gates, and misleading notices.
