I am sorry for the delay in writing this note but I have been very busy since getting home from Scunthorpe.
The object of this E mail is just to thank you and your team for the splendid Sweet Pea event which was much appreciated by my wife and myself. I think that the whole event was really well organised and your members were among the most helpful and friendly that I have come across.
Once again, thank you and I hope our paths cross again sometime in the future, perhaps when we hold the SP Rally at Fareham in 2010!

I would like to thank you for a simply superb weekend at the Sweet Pea rally. The warm welcome that we had from Wilf when we arrived set the tone for the weekend. The whole event went with clockwork precision and the way that locomotives were scheduled to get onto the track was a masterpiece of choreography; the members handling the locomotives were outstanding. Every small detail had been thought about and thanks must go to Ron too for his bottomless teapot. The Saturday buffet was excellent and again was beautifully organized. Your track, traverser, swing section, signalling and riding cars were excellent and the facilities for steaming up and then topping up with essential supplies at the station were so efficient. The members on station duty again made the passenger hauling a real pleasure. Obvious a lot of hard work and planning went into the event and this showed' as everything ran so smoothly and without the slightest hiccup. I was very grateful to you all too for letting me have my moment of madness at the end; it was great fun but I was conscious of the fact that at the end of two very busy days your club colleagues were prepared to stay on even later and let me "play". Will you please pass on my thanks to all your members for their hard work, dedication and efficiency that went to make the weekend so enjoyable and memorable. I wished I lived closer and could join your Society as to put it simply as well as working hard you have fun. However four days of us was probably enough for Wilf!!!. My best wishes to the Society and its members and thanks again for a simply superb weekend.

I hope you have been able to get everything put away following the rally and are now able to draw a deep breath! I would just like to put on record that we both thought you did a wonderful job of organising the 2007 Sweet Pea Rally and everything seemed to go without a hitch. Please pass on our grateful thanks to Wilf and all the many members and the ladies who worked non-stop over the weekend so that others could enjoy themselves. I'm sure that I speak for all the visitors in saying how much it was appreciated and everyone that I spoke to said how much they had enjoyed the event and how impressed they were with the track and its lovely setting. The Scunthorpe society can be very proud of their site and the spirit and good humour of the members was apparent to all. Also, the catering on the Saturday night was much enjoyed and Wilf kept the crowd entertained. The mantle now passes to Oxford for the 2008 Rally, but it will be quite an act to follow. Once again many thanks for all your efforts, and perhaps we can see some visiting  Scunthorpe 'Sweet Peas' at next years Rally?

╦╦╦╦╦╦╦╦╦╦╦╦

On behalf of my wife, son and myself we would like to thank you for a fantastic weekend, your society members worked sh to ensure everything went so smoothly and the two young lads who did all the hard work getting the loco to and from the steaming bay made it so easy for me. Thanks also to Wilf Baker, who helped us out with being able to erect a gazebo because for health problems. Once again thanks for a great organisation on the weekend your members are to be congratulated.

╦╦╦╦╦╦╦╦╦╦╦╦

Hello Wilf and crew
Well what can we say? What a FANTASTIC weekend.
We were greeted like friends from the moment we arrived, and looked after with five star care.
The track was fantastic and the schedule ran like clockwork.
The best Sweet Pea rally yet!
If any video is available then we would happily give a donation to the club for a copy.
Many thanks to yourself for your sense of humour, friendliness, despite your cheek at times you certainly made us laugh.
Thanks to the ladies for the catering and all the other members for tea etc.
Hope to see you again soon, we'll be in touch if we want to take up your invite of a visit.
Best Wishes

I hope the dust has settled and you have time to read your Emails , what a weekend we have had, I can say without hesitation that this weekend was the best I have attended. the track ran superb, the event throughout was brilliant and very well organised. What else can I say, thanks to you and your members for a wonderful weekend and please pass on my thanks to all concerned.

╦╦╦╦╦╦╦╦╦╦╦╦

Just to thank you and ALL the volunteer members of the Scunthorpe Model Engineering Society for a most enjoyable, well organised and fun Sweetpea Rally weekend.  We are particularly envious of your beautiful location and really enjoyed having the opportunity of using your facilities.  We know that a lot of planning and organising must have gone into ensuring the weekend ran so smoothly. The mug has pride of place in our cabinet!  Once again, many thanks and hopefully we will meet with some of you again next year at Oxford.

╦╦╦╦╦╦╦╦╦╦╦

May I first say how much my wife and I enjoyed the weekend  (admittedly
Margaret only came with me to Normanby on the Sunday, but she enjoyed
visiting some local garden centre with my sister on the Saturday).
The Scunthorpe members deserve a really big thank-you from everyone
visiting. From the moment of arrival until departure we were
surrounded by eager friends. I didn't need to ask for any
assistance as it was offered before I had the chance.

The track was excellent, trucks ran smoothly, water and coal were
first class. You even managed to organise really good weather for the
weekend.

My only regret was that you didn't provide the little badges that
have been issued in the past. As Guildford was my first rally with
an engine I have only the one badge and was hoping for a second one....

╦╦╦╦╦╦╦╦╦╦╦╦

Hello Wilf. We had a great time at the Sweet Pea Rally, one of the best yet and had a decent meal at The Wheatsheaf at Barton Sunday evening.

╦╦╦╦╦╦╦╦╦╦╦╦

Hi Wilf, could I say a sincere thank you to EVERBODY who worked to make
the  Sweet Pea rally a success. From first arriving on Sunday morning I
was greeted with help and freindliness. Special thanks to the steaming
bay crew who worked hard to keep us all in order and  do all the
loading, unloading of the loco's. The number of Hi Vis vests on display
was a credit to the society. I hope to take up the offer to return to
sunny Scunni later in the year.

╦╦╦╦╦╦╦╦╦╦╦╦

I wish I'd gone for the weekend, rather than just the Saturday. Lovely site, plenty to see other than the railway, and a lot of hard work had obviously been put into the organisation - well done SSME.

Wilf, please convey my thanks to the Scunthorpe club members - I really didn't want to start the journey home after such a pleasant day.

╦╦╦╦╦╦╦╦╦╦╦╦

Thanks to Wilf and every member of Scunthorpe club for their efforts that went into a fantastic weekend. Everything went so well, due to a lot of effort in organising of the event and time spent at the weekend. Even the weather was great too! For the people that did not attend you missed out on a lot of fun.
