The Virus Problem
Anyone who has used a computer for a while knows that the computer has to be protected from the attacks of viruses. Sadly, most people do not realise that the commercially available antivirus programs are seldom of much help in PREVENTING virus attacks. They are rescue programs that try to help after a computer has had a virus attack.

Almost everyone in the civilised world knows that viruses are mainly bad things. Sadly, hardly anyone realises that a very large number of people in the world are suffering from one mental virus or another.

It was during the Viet Nam war that the term 'Brainwashing' received a lot of publicity. Brainwashing is a process where a person is progressively forced to accept beliefs that were totally foreign to the person previously. Brainwashing is extremely effective when the person has no firm beliefs before the brainwashing process commences.

I was listening to one of BBC Radio 5 Live 'discussion' programs about things that children have been told that are patently not true but the children believed when they were told whatever it was. One caught my ears. The woman had phoned in to tell that her father had said that the cats eyes in the road were produced by cats who live in special tunnels under the road. A single cats eye was the sign of an old cat who had lost an eye.
The woman went on to say that it was not until she was 13 that she realised that the cats eyes story was a complete invention. She had not thought about cats eyes for years but had passively accepted what her father had told her was the truth when she was small.

I have used this short anecdote to show how young children are very likely to accept almost any story as truth if told it by a person in authority. The lady with the cats eyes story had a chance to find out that the story her father had told her was a lie. There are stories of equal dishonesty told to millions of children around the world every day. There is no easy way that the children will ever be able to disprove what they were told when they become adults.

These stories generally untrue and are supported by people who have been trained as brainwashers by previous brainwashers. The successive brainwasher cycle goes back over thousands of years. One thing common to all of these brainwashers is that they refer to old writings and traditions. They treat old ideas and practices as being superior to modern scientific evidence.

All these brainwashers were attacted to the idea of having influence over their fellow citizens for good or ill. Their actions as brainwashers are largely influnced by the way that they were brainwashed themselves. One thing the have in common is the aim to brainwash children into believing in ancient stories that are based on hallucinations and downright lies. Their principal weapon is to use the natural human fear of death by saying or inferring that a particular brand of ancient story has an answer to the death problem.

The cores of the original brainwashing stories have been altered and embellished by successive brainwashers over the centuries. Most of these alterations and embellishments have been added to extend the effectiveness of the brainwasher's influence over his fellows. Many brainwashers have become petty dictators or even despots over the centuries.

More than 99% of all living brainwashers are male. They frequently use their influence to control how females should behave - frequently illogically - and often in direct contradiction to medical advice. Frequently they claim to have authority based on tribal laws enforced many enturies ago.

Brainwashing is nothing more than a mental virus that prevents the person so infected from thinking logically and stopping to check the veracity of what he or she was told as a child.

All brainwashers should be forced by democratically produced laws to live at the level of civilisation extant when the brainwashing stories they spread were first promulgated.
