Extended Horizons

The three prepared for Jane's second visit in the afternoon. They
decided to try to use phantom comfort on Jane to see if it would
work. Marita thought that it would be fun to give unsuspecting
girls phantom comfort if it was possible. George thought that
such an activity would be the equivalent of mental rape. Kerstin
and Marita said that they would not consider it rape if it happened
to them. They would think that it was their own imagination working
overtime if they did not know about phantom comfort.
Jane did not arrive alone. Sil, Martha and Rachel came with her. Kerstin and George did not know what to say.
Jane spoke first. She said. "Kerstin, Marita and George,
you have done something to Lan Fang and myself that we cannot
explain. Lan Fang did not want to come here with us because she
did not want to worry you. You have given her more pleasure than
she has ever had in her life and you have done the same with me.
You have magical powers when you are sharing comfort. Lan Fang
and I both feel that we are as young as teenagers again after
sharing with you George. We have also noticed that the Rear Admiral
and the Commander seem younger at heart after visiting you at
Undepoldus House. You may not be aware of what you are doing so
I thought that it would be best if I came and told you about it.
It would not be good for any of us if the story leaked out that
you had special powers. What have you got to say for yourselves?"
George said. "Come and join Kerstin and me on the settees
and we will tell you what we know."
As George and Kerstin were nude, the four girls undressed before
they sat down opposite them.
George continued: "We know what we have been doing Jane
but we have not had a chance to do the same to Rachel, Martha
and Sil.
You four with Lan Fang and Gurprit have been associated with Undepoldus
since he was discovered. He is going away soon and Marita's real
identity will go with him. He and Marita gave Kerstin a copy of
Marita for my benefit and to allow you all to enjoy her presence
from time to time. He has told me that he has enjoyed the company
of all of us since he has met us. He considers us to be his friends.
He knows that he may be away from us for twenty or thirty years
but he wants to come back here and meet his friends again as he
remembers them. After he saved Marita's identity he found that
he had a lot more powers than he knew about. He can heal people
and he can make them younger. He and Marita have made Kerstin
and me so that we will not age much by the time he gets back to
Earth. He has also transferred many of his powers to us. Anyone
who shares with Kerstin or myself can be influenced by our wishes.
With Lan Fang and you Jane, we have wished you well and young
so that you will still be relatively young when Undepoldus returns.
Undepoldus has done the same to the Rear Admiral, Sarah, the Commander
and Eva. Kerstin and I still doubt our powers and we wonder how
long they will last.
As Marita has no body of her own, we thought that we could carry
on as a normal Spacer partnership because I would only have Kerstin's
body to share comfort with. I say it this way because Marita can
inhabit Kerstin's body whenever Kerstin wants her to. Kerstin
spread the word around that she would be happy to share me so
that you all could benefit from our powers while they last. As
luck would have it, I can give much more pleasure than I could
before. The girls who have recently experienced pleasure with
me demand more almost straight away. It was Sil's first turn tonight,
Rachel's tomorrow night and Martha's the day after. You, Jane
asked for more, so we decided to have an afternoon session specially
for you because we have no duties at present. We did not expect
our efforts to be detected and broadcast before I had shared with
all of you. Now you all know what we were doing. You, Jane, and
Lan Fang, did not have the choice but you, Martha, Sil and Rachel
can choose whether you want to be younger or stay as you are.
I warn you all that there is a problem with staying young as Spacers.
Sooner or later our medical tests will detect that we are not
ageing normally. We will have to do something to avoid these tests
and then, later on, we will have to retire and change our identities.
We will seem to be immortals to those who age normally. Kerstin,
Marita and I think we have been given a gift that we would like
to share with all our friends. We know how much it has been appreciated
by the Rear Admiral and the Commander and their wives. As you
said Jane, our powers must remain a secret. I would like all of
us to stay young together for as long as possible. It would be
simpler if you, Martha, Sil and Rachel joined us, but I do not
want to pressure you into doing anything that you do not want
to do.
Before you make your decision, I would like Marita to have her
say too. She has already experienced what Undepoldus will experience
so she has a special point of view."
Marita said. "I am now in a unique position. My body is dead
but I live on somehow. Here, I share Kerstin's body, but this
is not the real me talking to you. I am a duplicate model. The
real me is with Undepoldus now. When I had a body I went on a
trip that took 21 years of Earth time. When I came back I had
only aged three years. In 21 years many of my friends died or
forgot me. Those that survived are 18 years older than me. Whatever
their sentiments were in the past, they have nothing in common
with me now because of the age gap. I was lucky. I met George
and became his partner. Then I met Kerstin who looked like me
and became my co-partner with George. I could not have wished
to be with two nicer people. I have often thought what it would
be like if I had not had the good fortune to be with George and
Kerstin. I was lonely for a while before I met them and I could
have ended up with no close friends at all. Undepoldus became
my friend too, and now I am with him, he knows what it is like
to lose one's friends as time passes and they get older. He wants
to be able to keep his friends and has the power to slow down
their ageing. After I joined him, he slowed down the rate at which
Kerstin and George aged. He wants his closest friends still to
be around to welcome him when he returns. Then he thought that
he would like to give his gift to those who had in some way or
other helped to protect him when he was small.
We did not know that he had passed on this ability to George,
Kerstin and myself. Kerstin discovered that Gurprit was not well
when she was sharing with him. She silently wished that he was
better and the effect was almost immediate. She has not wished
him young yet, but we all hope that she will have the chance to
do so, and that Gurprit will want it too. Now you have the full
story except for one thing that I feel that you should know about.
Now, when George is sharing, Kerstin and I can feel the pleasures
that he and his share partner feel. We are therefore happy for
him to share with as many partners as he likes because we can
enjoy the sharing with him. Martha, Sil and Rachel, are you with
us?"
Sil said. "I have shared with George many times and I know
how good he used to be. I know that Jane has shared with George
as he was and as he is now. I would love what has happened to
Jane to happen to me. Please, Kerstin, can I share with George
as soon as you can arrange it."
Kerstin said. "We were hoping you would say that Sil. If
Jane does not mind losing her place in the queue, you are next."
Jane said. "Go ahead Sil. Your need is greater than mine
at the moment. I am glad that you will join us."
Rachel said. "Kerstin, can I be next after Sil? Do you want
to join us Martha? If you do, you can go before me if you like."
Martha said. "Thank you Rachel for your kind offer. I was
unsure what to say, but now I am the only one left, I do not want
to be left out of the party. You are all my friends and I want
to stay young with you. Please Kerstin, please put me on your
list after Rachel."
George said. "I know that this will sound a bit odd but I
want to give the three of you the gift without the extreme pleasure
that I have given to Lan Fang and Jane when you join me now. When
you all have the gift, we can start again with Jane because she
was originally booked for this afternoon. My gifts include almost
unlimited endurance. I will be able to keep going until I have
exhausted you all except Kerstin. I think that Lan Fang and Gurprit
should be called to join us so that we will have a complete assembly."
Kerstin said. "You get started George. I will call Ivan to
tell him what is wanted. Sil, Rachel and Martha, the bed is easily
big enough for four. It is time you set George in motion."
While she was speaking to Ivan, Kerstin felt Marita trying out
phantom sharing. Ivan said that he would tell Gurprit and Lan
Fang to come to Kerstin's cabin as soon as he could contact them.
George applied his skills to the girls and each in turn succumbed
to his charms and fell asleep.
Shortly afterwards the vidcom announced the arrival of Gurprit
and Lan Fang.
George said. "Admit them, Gee-Mac 207"
When they came in he said. "Welcome, both of you. I am sorry
but the ladies seem to want a siesta right now. I trust that they
will wake up soon. Lan Fang, Jane has told me what you discussed.
Hopefully, you are happy to feel younger than you did - are you?"
Lan Fang said. "What a silly question to ask, George, I am
delighted. Why is everyone except you asleep?"
George said. "You know that I made you go to sleep after
sharing with me. On that basis I can account for Sil, Rachel and
Martha. I cannot account for Jane and Kerstin. I don't know what
they were doing because I was busy at the time."
Lan Fang said. "Kerstin and Jane look to me as if they both
fainted from ecstasy like I did when I was with you. Do you think
that they shared the feelings of Sil, Rachel and Martha in some
manner. You have an enormous aura about you George. I think that
if you willed it, I would feel as if I were sharing comfort with
you. Now I have mentioned it, I can feel it. You are doing it
automatically. It is marvellous. Can you make room for me on the
bed so that I can join you properly?"
George said. "Certainly Lan Fang, but I must explain something
to Gurprit first. Please be patient. Gurprit, when you shared
with Kerstin, she thought that you were feeling a trifle unwell.
She mentally wished you better and she then sensed that you were
better. Did you feel that way too?"
Gurprit said. "I started to share with Kerstin almost out
of duty because I felt so tired and weak. Then I suddenly felt
as fit as a fiddle. Sharing with Kerstin was the greatest pleasure
I have ever experienced. I felt fit and strong and prepared to
give her a lot of comfort. Then she wound me up in a way I can't
describe. It was almost as if she had a pump that could fill me
with pleasure until I burst. The last thing I remember was that
I felt that I was being killed with pleasure by the goddess of
love. It is clear to me now that you have a comparable power.
Lan Fang said that she would happily share with you twenty-four
hours a day until she died of love. I have had some compliments
in my time but that beats all of them."
George said. "After Kerstin told us what she thought she
had done for you, we decided to try to wish all our share partners
young again. Lan Fang can verify this. Kerstin wants to do the
same for you. Then you will be like the rest of us here. The aim
is that we should all remain fairly young when Undepoldus returns
from his long journey. He wants all his friends to stay as young
as when he leaves in a few week's time."
Kerstin had woken up and saw Gurprit standing with Lan Fang. She said. "Gurprit, come and join me on the settee. I have some unfinished business with you."
Gurprit was very happy to comply with her request. Lan Fang and George did not have to say anything to each other. They got together as quickly as Kerstin and Gurprit.
The four sleeping girls awoke to see Kerstin and George in
action. They took great pleasure in watching the proceedings.
Later Martha said. "There is one person who I think should
be added to our group and that Is Boku. She has done as much as
any of us to try to help Undepoldus and I am sure that Undepoldus
would like to count her among his friends too.
Kerstin said. "I am sure that Undepoldus and Marita will
want Boku to have the same powers as we have. Before he leaves
he will be holding a going away party for all his friends. I am
sure that Boku will be invited to be there too. Then she will
be able to join us."
Rachel said. "These new powers that we have are almost frightening
but I am delighted that we have them. Kerstin and Marita, you
said that we will not age much now. I think that in a few years
time, when we can't pretend to be normal Spacers anymore, we should
find a way to get our own space ship to travel in. Long journeys,
like you experienced Marita, will not be much of a problem for
us. We will be able to go much further out and find other intelligences.
The Spacer talents that we have together will cover almost all
the needs of a crew and we will have plenty of time to learn any
others that we might need. It would give us the chance to do a
lot of the things that speculative writers have imagined. I feel
honoured, lucky and happy to be with you all like this."
Marita said. "If we go travelling some time in the future,
we will have to have a big ship so that we can take Undepoldus
with us. Undepoldus has already had a ship built that is big enough
for himself so I think that it could be modified to add space
for us when he comes back."
George said. "I think that your suggestion Rachel is brilliant.
Kerstin, Marita and I have been pondering what we would do if
we could live for several hundred years. Now I think you have
hit on a perfect solution. We can use our training as Spacers
with the capability to go much further out into the Universe.
If we do this, I suggest that we ask Mike Smith to join us. He
is a surgeon and a male. I am sure that you girls would like an
extra male companion."
Sil said. "I have shared with Mike a lot. I second your proposal
George. If we are to live a long time, we will want to make sure
that we are as whole as our powers and modern medicine can make
us."
Jane said. "When I came here today with Martha, Sil and Rachel,
I never dreamed that I would be contemplating a marvellous adventure
as Rachel has suggested. It is the logical way to make use of
our talents. I add my support to your proposal George."
Martha said. "When I came her today and heard what was on
offer, I was not sure if I really wanted to be involved. I was
almost in the situation where part of me thought that I was happy
as I was and another part did not want to be left out of what
was available. I was the last to make the decision to join you
and I am glad I decided not to be left out. Now I can see a whole
new way of living in front of me with all my friends and a big
adventure to come. I know that I should not have wavered. Count
me in on everything now."
Kerstin said. "We did not tell you everything about our powers.
We can also change our physical appearances just by thinking about
it. We can change our apparent gender at will and share comfort
equally well with both genders. We can also induce the feeling
of sharing comfort remotely with anyone who is nearby. We call
it sharing phantom comfort. Marita and I can will George to change
gender as we change gender. He can do the same to our body. The
change of gender has a side effect. One's orignial consciousness
remains unchanged while the new gender provides a second personality
that feels as if it is separate somehow. Nevertheless the new
gender can give one the same pleasure as the normal one when sharing
comfort. We have given you many of the same powers that we have
besides longevity so you can experience what it is like to change
gender and to give phantom comfort."
Lan Fang said. "I stayed away because I thought that you,
Kerstin and George, had become monsters without knowing your powers.
I am sorry that I doubted your integrity by even a slight amount.
When I tried to give phantom comfort at first, I could not. Now
you have given me the ability. As I had felt how good it could
be when others were giving it, I knew that I wanted to have the
chance to give it too. Now you have given it to me George I am
like the rest of you. I know now that I can give you, George and
Gurprit, a kiss in the right place for being so nice to me in
the past and for being such wonderful sharers now. I always think
it is nice to be able to make others feel that I appreciate their
help and comfort. Now I can really make them feel my gratitude
in the way that they like best. I understand why I did not receive
the gift at first. Most of you received it by accident. I was
given it personally and that makes me feel very happy about it.
I agree with all that has been said so far about the space ship,
Boku and Mike.
Now I would like to add something different. When we were at the
Spacers College we learned how to share comfort together in a
way that was of most benefit to all of us. Now we all have a much
greater capacity for comfort and new ways of sharing comfort.
Because of the way we now are, we should work out new protocols
for sharing between us. None of us have any hint of homosexual
tendencies - we shy away from that idea - but we now have the
capability to feel what it is like to be the opposite sex. I suggest
that we treat our new powers as neuter. When we are using them
we can be male or female as we choose. Both ways of sharing comfort
are delightful and it is an additional pleasure to be able to
share both ways. Now you know what I am talking about, I would
like your views."
Kerstin said. "Lan Fang, I think you have put it very well.
George, Marita and I have exchanged mentally with each other and
with Leonov, Ivan, Sarah and Eva. They were not aware that we
shared with them mentally but we know how nice it is to feel what
it is like to be the other gender. I don't think that we need
any special protocols while we are a small group. We know that
we can trust each other and can share comfort in any way we like
when any of us wants to. Marita, George and I experimented with
producing organs of the opposite sex to see how it feels. I know
that when George has been female this way, he feels like a female
and not as a man sharing with another man. I feel as if I am a
man when George is being female. He feels feminine to me and there
is not any trace of conventional lesbianism about our sharing.
Lan Fang, you are right in that our new powers are neuter. This
applies equally to two of us of the same natural gender as for
opposite genders. You and I can demonstrate to show the others.
They can peep into our minds and feel the maleness and femaleness
as we share."
Kerstin emphasised her point by changing her face to look male, making her breasts shrink to mere nipples and developing male organs. She then spoke in a deep masculine voice. "Lan Fang, how would you like to share with me now?"
As Lan Fang approached, Kerstin picked her up under her armpits
to hold her close. Kerstin felt the others probing her and feeling
what she felt. Lan Fang clung to her, revelling in the comfort
she was receiving.
The exercise made it clear to them all that their natural genders
were much less relevant than they had thought.
George said. "We have discovered a lot about ourselves today.
We must somehow learn to discipline our desires for pleasure.
Let us all sit down together and discuss what we should do."
Gurprit said. "I have ordered some refreshments and I have
told the Commander that we are all as young as he is but we will
have to spend a bit more time together to refine our new situations.
He just said. 'There are no pressing problems that I can't handle.
I wish that I could join you but someone has to do some work sometime.
I had a lovely time this morning. I hope that you will enjoy your
time with George and Kerstin just as much.'
He is one of us now and understands, but I am sure that he does
not know what we have been doing together."
The refreshments arrived and everyone relaxed for a while.
In the early evening the vidcom announced. "Commander
Sincayvitch and Mrs. Sincayvitch have arrived with Rear Admiral
Chebychev and Mrs. Chebychev."
Marita said. "Admit them, Big-Mar 207".
When they had sat down and made themselves comfortable, George
opened the proceedings.
"Today, Jane told us that your new found sprightliness has
been noted. She and Lan Fang had been made young by Kerstin and
me so they guessed that you had been treated in the same way.
We want to keep our powers a secret so we need a way to avoid
giving away clues to what we can do. The simplest answer that
we can think of is to give all of you the power that we have to
control your bodies. Then you can make yourselves feel as old
as you actually are, and look your ages while you are in view
of others. When you are alone together or when you are with us,
you can look as young as you feel.
Leonov and Sarah, Ivan and Eva, in a few moments we will change
you like we have changed. Leonov and Sarah, join with Kerstin
and me for a few moments."
Leonov and Sarah embraced Kerstin and George like long lost friends. After they were together for a minute or so they parted.
George then said. "Ivan and Eva, come and join us". Ivan and Eva were as quick to respond as Leonov and Sarah.
Kerstin said. "Now concentrate on looking younger. We
will try to help you."
Everyone concentrated together and the four looked like eighteen
year olds. The effect was heart-warming. They clung to each other,
pulled away and looked at each other, and then clung to each other
again as they sobbed with joy.
George said to the four newcomers. "Leonov, Sarah, Ivan
and Eva, we are all happy that you are with us tonight and looking
as young as you feel. You will need the ability to change the
way you look so that you can look your calendar age while you
are doing your jobs. Then you can look like you are now while
you are alone together or with us. You will also have to act your
age when you are with others so that you do not give away the
secret of you new found youth. You four must practice changing
together so that you can look and act the parts that you normally
play. I remind you that the changes in your effective ages must
not be discovered by anyone outside this cabin. That means you
will have to give up your jobs in a few year's time. You will
then have to become new people. Those who do not have our gift
will notice that we age very slowly if we stay with one identity
long enough. They will think that we are immortal. We are not
immortal as far as I can tell. I think that we may expect to live
for another two or three hundred years or more. We know that we
cannot keep our secret and remain Spacers for many more years
so we will have to hide our youthfulness and find other employment.
We now have a vague plan for the longer term future. When Undepoldus
returns, we will arrange that his space ship is enlarged to carry
us with him. With our longevity we should be able to go much further
out into the Universe. We want Mike Smith and Boku to join us
to make up a complete crew. Would you like to join us in our adventure
when the time comes?"
Eva said. "I have always felt guilty about tying Ivan to
Earth. Now I literally have a new lease of life I want to learn
to be a Spacer too. In the last few days I have learned such a
lot about you all and Undepoldus that I envy your way of life
as Spacers. I mean this as something that has nothing to do with
your powers. If we all have the powers that you have so nicely
demonstrated to us, going on a voyage of exploration around the
galaxy would be a dream come true for me."
Leonov said. "When I was young, exploring the Solar System
was a big adventure. Now I would love to go further out. Sarah
has always been jealous of the experiences I had when I went to
see Ganymede and Titan for myself. Now I come to think of it,
Sarah, in this matter you should say what you want for yourself."
Sarah said. "I did not know what Spacer life was like until
I married Leonov. Then I found out what I had been missing. By
then it was too late for me to become a Spacer so I had to content
myself with imagining what it would have been like investigate
moons like Europa and Triton. Now I would love to go on a long
voyage to meet other intelligences with Leonov and the rest of
you. I would be able to fulfil what I had thought was an impossible
ambition. When do we start?"
