Shadorma Website - A Lincolnshire based company which produces high quality kennels, runs, playpens and van fittings for standard or bespoke fittings.

The two projects we were asked to do were updating and improving the website, and creating an Ordering system to replace their paper-based system.

The new website was upgraded, improved to include a proper enquiry page, new links to testomonials from some of the most famous dog-breeders who have been very pleased with the service, and made the site easier and quicker to use.

The Order Database system was developed to replace the paper-based system currently in use. The system not only allows easy entering of new orders, including pricing for products, delivery, labour and discounts, but also prints off a complete order form and stores the information for future retrieval and possible editing.

The system also allows the user to view completed and uncompleted orders, allowing priority orders to be viewed instantly, and previous orders to be reordered without entering the details in again.

Handheld Scanner Systems

Scanner system for a major manufacturer of solenoid valves used for controlling compressed air, inert gases, water and other fluids.

We were asked to produce a scanner-based system which involved using a wireless scanner to check that pallets of products despatched from the company were the correct product, for the correct quantity, and that each box was unique.

The system produced was a wireless system which enabled the user to simply scan each barcoded box on a pallet, to check that each box was of the same product, that each box was unique (each one having a unique box code), and that the correct quantity of boxes were scanned.

The system, using the Symbol Phaser 370 scanner, proved to be simple and quick to use and also added the ability to launch a labelling system automatically, to print a pallet label off without any user interaction.
