Want to make your Westie look smart
Make this traditional coat for your Westie
Material, 20 inch by 20 inch Tartan material,
24 inch by 2 1/2 inch Tartan material,
20 inch by 20 inch Lining,
24 inch by 2 1/2 inch Lining,
8 inch strip of Velcro
 Cut
the shape out on some paper first to make sure you get it right. When you
are happy with that, place the paper on top of the Tartan material and hold it
place with a few pins. Cut the material around the edge of the paper.
<This picture has a grid with 1 inch squares. 20 inch high by 20 long.
From that you can see that the dip in the middle is around 4 inches at the
top and 2 inch at the sides.
The bottom dip is not cut, its a little tuck in the center of the
material, 4 inches long with 1/4 inch of material folded over and stitched, the
excess material is on the inside of the coat.
