2004 - November 12
CHESS - PROFESSOR C. OPPENHEIM

Few of us were expecting such an interesting display from what
could have been a mundane subject however, we all
came away having enjoyed one of the best displays I
can remember. A variety of unusual material was shown along with some very
amusing anecdotes, well delivere

2005 - April 13
CLASSIC FRANCE - P. G. MACKEY
One of the finest displays seen at our Society with a superb range of
essays, proofs and stamps covering essentially the Ceres and Napoleon
issues. The display included a good number of items previously
unrecorded, along with some scarce, seldom ever seen stamps . Well
presented and well documented, a wonderful evening
.

2005 - June 8
NEW ZEALAND KGV - Dr A. DOVE

Our members were treaty to an exceptional display of stamps, proofs and covers
from this fascinating period. Dr Dove’s display won a large silver-gilt
medal at the StampShow 2000. Apart from superb material his knowledge
was equally good, as one might expect as Dr Dove is Editor of ‘The Kiwi’
journal of the New Zealand Society of Great Britain. He was able to
explain in simple terms many of the complex facets of this issue
including watermark variations, compound perforations, shades and the
different papers.

2006 October 11th
SIERRA LEONE - FRANK WALTON

We had been looking forward to seeing Frank’s display ever since the new programme was issued and were not disappointed. Frank showed an array of fabulous material including items that earned him a large ermeil at Washington, 2006. We saw complete panes of the early issues, die and plate proofs, Specimens in multiples, watermark varieties, early postal history and numerous village postmarks on cover many of which are unique. Franks knowledge is probably second to none and with his superb delivery, it was a memorable evening.
