And here, by way of a taster, is an extract from my story, "Interesting Times".

Doctor Elizabeth Weir hoped it was all a bad dream. Soon her alarm would go off and she’d wake up. Rodney wouldn’t be stranded on another planet, the slave of some alien woman, with a torture device strapped to his wrist. As dreams went, it was right up there with the one about Doctor Beckett and the performing lab mice. And if anyone had asked her the day before, she’d have said it was about as likely.

John Sheppard banged his hands down on her desk, loud enough to wake the dead, let alone someone who might be sleeping. So… it had to be real.

It was still difficult to believe.

A woman had willingly chosen Rodney McKay over John Sheppard… even after seeing them in their underwear. She stared up at the Major and wondered what on earth he’d done to piss her off.

“We need to go back, Elizabeth .” He let out a long sigh. “We can’t just leave him there.”
