SOCIAL

Social Committee

St. Paul's has an active social committee, which arranges a variety of events throughout the year. These include: annual summer barbeque, quiz night, speakers supper, harvest supper, progressive suppers, occasional theatre trips and monthly Sunday afternoon walks. These events are not intended to raise money, simply to cover their costs and provide opportunities for relaxing and socialising together.

Welcome Club

As the name suggests, the club is a forum for new (and existing) members of the congregation and friends to meet and get to know one another. It is aimed at those over 50 years of age. The club meets monthly on Tuesday afternoons, and has a lively variety of activities.

Flower Guild

The Flower Guild provides floral arrangements in the church for major services, weddings, funerals, and other special occasions.

St Nicholas

The St Nicholas' congregation joins in parish social events and has some of its own, such as the traditional pancake evening on Shrove Tuesday, a summer barbecue and a cheese and wine social around St Andrew's day.
