Riccardo's ZXR750RK ex Team Bertocchi Superbike

This page is dedicated to Riccardo, a friend of mine who recently lost his life in a road accident
Here's a small tribute both in English and in Italian
Riccardo was a guy full of enthusiasm and with a passion for ZXRs. He already had a ZXR750L which he had modified and tuned and he had recently bought this lovely ex-Team Bertocchi ZXR750RK that was raced in the Italian SBK championship.
The bike needed some work so he set about restoring it to its former glory. He had only just started to work on it when on 4th September 2005 he lost his life in an accident whilst out riding his ZXR750L.

His father Mario has vowed to continue restoring this bike in memory of Riccardo and he will send me updated material when the job is completed.
In the meanwhile here are some of the pictures Riccardo sent me back in August.

Riccardo era un ragazzo con tanto entusiasmo e con una gran passione per le ZXR. Aveva gia` una ZXR750L che aveva modificato e messo a punto e recentemente aveva acquistato questa bella ZXR750RK che era stata preparata e usata nel campionato italiano SBK dal Team Bertocchi.
La moto aveva bisogno di qualche attenzione e Riccardo aveva appena cominciato il paziente lavoro di restauro. Purtroppo il giorno 4 settembre 2005 Riccardo ha perso la vita in un incidente stradale con la sua ZXR750L.

Suo Padre, Mario, ha deciso di continuare il restauro in memoria di Riccardo e mi inviera` dell'altro materiale a lavoro ultimato.
