Bracknell Woodland Project

Woods in the Project

Seven woodland areas are covered by this project, all in the parishes of Binfield and Warfield.

The copses are small, all are less than four hectares, but they are heavily used for walking and cycling and as areas for children's play. They are ideal sites for dog walking, short cuts and jogging and Whitegrove Copse is even used regularly by horse riders.

Liz Manley is the Woodlands Project Officer, co-ordinating the Bracknell Woodlands Project. This involves woodland management, organising conservation programmes and leading events such as wildlife walks and talks.

If you are a member of a club or social group you might like to have a woodland event on your agenda. Contact Liz at The Look Out on 01344 354 443 to discuss events for children and adults.
