Waveliners is one of the longest established line dance clubs in the Watford area.
It was originally formed as the Bushey Stompers, but had to move to South Oxhey when the hall we were in needed major reconstruction work. We were unable to move back to the hall so we rename the club Waveliners.
The reason for Waveliners is that we wanted a name that didn’t have a location in the title and my husband came up with the name after noticing that the dance lines are never straight and looked like waves.
The ethos of the club is to have fun while dancing and all new dancers are made welcome.
The clubs logo is a Dolphin for several reasons
1. Dolphins are sociable and always in groups
just like line dancers
2. I wanted to get away from the cowboy/country image
3. I like Dolphins
