Hey, I was just thinking...there's a lot of islander-descents here in New Zealand, and in places like the u.s, europe, and here, and australia, the stereotype is all based on those hawaii-esque tourism ads...
Think surfing, think hula skirts, think beaches, think of a diet consisting of only coconuts.
Think of men wearing unshaved coconut bras.
Rehabilitate the urban myth that island-descent women are all promiscuous and are the wild women of wongo.
I know we have "native" but I think the islander alphabet letter is unique, and in a class of it's own.

The stereotype of promiscuous beauties ready to do the business for a ship's nail is familiar and a hard one to shake. And I'm not sure I really want to. So yes, with a garland of flowers and a grass skirt, an island lovely doing that shimmery thing, Paul Gauguin can lend a hand.
And it adds a third card for 'I'. It's on the to-do list.

Isn't she lovely. I couldn't decide between a grass skirt and smile or a sarong and lippy - Gauguin's bare breasted babes wore fabric (when not naked), though the grass skirt says 'Pacific Islander' more directly - the grass skirt is often worn in old photos from Fiji, Tonga, Tahiti and thereabouts, though not with the thigh-baring slant shown here.
