The Headmaster When I was a child you could still buy 'sweet cigarettes' in a packet like Woodbines. In fact I was once given a 'smoker's kit' which had a pipe and cigars as well, like a selection box.

The tobacco companies must be gutted that they missed out on the advertising-in-schools that sugared drinks and trainers companies have now secured in many areas. Here's something to redress the balance. Do you remember your first cigarette? Mine was upstairs in a half-built house, sitting on a joist above a 15 foot drop. Not the best spot to get dizzy. christhepiss ....ah,magic memories....... on the way home from school puffing on a liquorice pipe. Tiny red sweeties representing glowing embers. In cold weather, exhaling completed the illusion. Mixter The tobacco companies could add high-fructose corn syrup to them and sell them in vending machines at schools. |
