Not strictly unPC, but the familiar image from the 'Happy Families' deck of a ruddy faced man in straw boater and butcher's apron, mutton chop whiskers, cleaver in hand, is probably not one we place before today's children.

Espesh when nowadays we consider "Butchers" to either be masters of genocide or Murderers.

Indeed, a correspondence that was turned into a joke in 'Hitch' which I just happened to see on DVD last night (a rom-com which is actually watchable, even if you're a bloke).

The Butcher is up. I didn't have any stripes so he'll just have to make do with a red apron, which doesn't show the blood.
