Eminent Boston Psychiatrist, Frasier Crane, last seen gracing the bars of Cheers has left his life there to start afresh in Seattle. He now has a spot as a popular radio Psychiatrist, giving him the chance to spread words of wit and wisdom to the masses. He shares his apartment with his retired cop father, Martin, and his father's physical care assistant, Daphne Moon. Add in brother Niles, Eddie the dog, some bizarre situations and plenty of humour and you've got all the ingredients for an excellent show and worthy successor to Cheers.

The Secret She Carried (1996)

Ellen, a happily married young teacher is brutaly raped and beaten in her home by a man who threatens her and her husband if she goes to the police. She is admitted to the hospital and (of course) goes to the police. The police in turn go after a suspect, Lewis Snow. Meanwhile, Ellen finds out that she is pregnant. However, she doesn't know if it's her attacker's baby or her husband's. In a sideplot, Lewis's ex-wife takes his three sons and moves to Oklahoma. Upon His being fired from his job, the rapist goes after Ellen again. In so doing, he finds her dating sonogram and tells Ellen that she will die if anything happens to "his baby". Is the baby the rapist's? Will Ellen have an abortion? How can Ellen and her husband move on?

Spring Forward (1999)

As the seasons change in a Connecticut town, two men of different age and backgrounds who work together outdoors for the local park system, share thoughts and feelings that gradually deepen into a relationship approaching father and son. Paul is just out of prison for armed robbery, assigned to work with Murph, a middle-aged vet whose grown son Bobby is dying. Paul is trying to control his temper and build a spiritual side based on reading. Murph is a down-to-earth Sancho Panza to Paul's more ethereal ideas. And Murphy seems to need forgiveness for mistakes as a dad. As Murphy's retirement approaches and winter sets in, the men talk and love blossoms.

Premiering in 1986, the TV series "Matlock" enjoyed a successful run until the year 1995. "Matlock" features criminal defense attorney Ben Matlock (Andy Griffith of "The Andy Griffith Show" fame) seeking to prove the innocence of his client as he takes on his/her case, of which most involve murders. He does this with the help of a team of people, which changed from season to season but included over the years Conrad McMasters (Clarence Gilyard Jr., now more known for his role as Jimmy Trivette in "Walker, Texas Ranger"), daughter Charlene Matlock (Linda Purl), and Cliff Lewis (Daniel Roebuck).

You see it's quite simple. Everyday an orange cat comes to his door with the paper. (A Chicago Sun Times). Gary doesn't know where it comes from. He did a bit of research and found out that a man named Lucis Snow, was an old typesetter and he had the paper before Gary. The day after Snow died, the paper came to Gary. Gary has two friends. Chuck Fishman (Fisher Stevens), who has been best buds with Gary since college. Chuck wants Gary to give him the scores of games, winning lotto numbers, stocks, or even soap opera tips. Marrisa is Gary's blind friend who helps Gary make all the right choices.

Things aren't better when you're neighbors with the Bittermans, a family composed of a militant father named Carl who's always teaching his loud, obnoxious children, Rodney, Megan and Shelby, survival skills while his wife, Melinda, who seems to have an existential outlook on life. Case in point: it's "Rugrats" for the parents who were forced to watch it with their giddy kids.
