Light for Children

Light for Children is a registered charity in the UK which has as its aim “the advancement of the Christian faith through the relief of need, hardship or sickness amongst children and young people, resident in or citizens of Romania, by offering social, educational, cultural, medical, emotional and spiritual support according to Christian principles”.

The charity works in the north east of Romania by providing financial and practical support to "Lumina pentru Copii" our Registered Charity in Romania, which is run by Helen Cosman who was from Chase Terrace in Staffordshire. Funding...Costel (Helens Husband) works full time in Dorohoi and Helen receives financial support from St John’s Community Church to cover living expenses. We rely completely on regular or one off donations, as well as the proceeds from specific fund raising events to finance our work with the children and young people.
