New Year's Day 2013 marked the start of a new era for 60m operation in the UK, when OFCOM released a much wider
UK 60m allocation to all Full licence holders possessing a new Notice of Variation (NoV) to their licence.
Activity on the band is now settling down, and trends in operation in the individual band segments are already evident.

The UK 60m Band Whiteboard serves as a platform for ideas put forward by many people on
how to utilize the band from 1 January 2013.
The Whiteboard is based on discussions in the
UK 5 MHz Yahoo group. Further discussion is encouraged there.
The Whiteboard is not a bandplan.
The Whiteboard is not "official".
The Whiteboard is simply intended as a framework, a starting point, for band usage. It is likely to change,
perhaps several times, before usage settles down.
UK amateurs with a Full licence may obtain a 5 MHz Notice of Variation (NoV) on-line from
the RSGB. The NoV is returned by email within minutes, and is effective immediately.
