30 Mile cycle ride!

MY friend (Georgia Leigh) and myself decided to end a sunny weekend with a bike ride with the charnwood CTC. It turned out to be a wonderfully hot sunny day, so we couldn’t wait to go!

We all met at Heather church. It was all uphill to the meeting place for us. We managed it but we were 20 minutes early!!!!!!!!! (I told you we was looking forwards to it).

My Grandad told us we would be ok because it was a short ride, But what he forgot to tell us was that it was uphill most of the way!!!!

Our first stop was at the antiques place at Shenton. At this time we did not feel tired, but when we left there to go to Thornton we was exhausted. There were hills after hills after hills. By this time the sun had caught me and I looked like a lobster. Luckily I only live about 4 miles away from Thornton and as soon as I got home I lathered on the after sun. I thoroughly enjoyed the day but not the sunburn!!!!!!!!!!!!!
