This undergraduate course covers the major approaches to Second Language Acquisition (SLA) from a linguistics perspective in breadth rather than depth. It is often taken by those who have personal experience as an L2 learner, a teacher, or a person brought up bilingually. It is not, however, about language teaching per se. It does not assume particular linguistics background, which will be supplied when needed.
Aim: to look at SLA research from a linguistics perspective
Format:

weekly talk, followed by informal activity analysing data, following up the talk, preparing the Case Study, etc
