Although there are other gig guides that cover the Nottingham area, big venues and commercial events are usually the main concern. This tends to lead to a neglect of the life blood of the Nottingham music scene, the local bands, artistes and venues. To promote these smaller events is the purpose of this guide.
Visitors to Nottingham could be mislead into thinking that there were only three or four music venues in Nottingham. In fact there are dozens of venues, providing a rich and varied assortment of high quality entertainment. Often these gigs are free, or charge a nominal fee for admission.
