Parish Staff

Fr. Paul McNamara was appointed as the parish priest in November 1997. He took on responsibility for the catholic community at the shared church of St. James’ and St. Luke’s in May 2002.

Pastoral Assistants

assisting Fr. Paul as part of the parish team are 10 assistants, 9 of whom have responsibility for our parish areas. The remaining one, John Hurley, is the minister at the hospital as part of the ecumenical chaplancy.

Vision 2000 (Diocesan Pastoral Plan) gave birth in the Diocese to the formation of people in parishes who are selected by the Parish Priest in consultation with the Pastoral Team/Council to take up a specific role/ministry in the parish as a member of the Pastoral Team.
