The great thing about digital art is, it moves and changes and can be manipulated over time to improve and alter its function, it is not fixed, and the best part is it can be in many places at one time, allowing everyone to own it, rather than just one person, it can be duplicated and sold again and again, and continue to interest and create revenue long after the initial master, I love it even though at sometimes the path of trying to get something into the mass consciousness can be a daunting one.

it can be art or something else, many things to many people, different user, different use. I hope to be able to bring together a truly unique, multi cultural production, with music poetry & visual images, and a little bit of magic. The idea of time-lapse to portray changing times or city construction is not a new idea, but I hope to produce this project, but to be the project that people will remember and will want to show again and again. The proof is in the pudding....

Most of the time we are forced to work for other people, it is nice for once to be doing something without being told what to do by a boss, although you can never escape his big brother. I’m sure many people dream of being financially independent, When many of us wonder about working till pension age, and wondering if there will even be a pension system in place.

This video just had to be made, and could well prove to be the best & and last project ever completed for such an Important Event. And with the coming years the technology will also increase the quality of the Final Boxed Set.

enough of the cynic, i wish everyone a unique perspective how they celebrate the rebirth of Liverpool

I have a friend with a large successful business, he once told me you don’t own it, it owns you, success brings its own worries, when the job owns you, and in a way I am a slave to the technological Gizmos. I dream of a much simpler life, what’s left of it.

the timelapse video has had many titles gone through many refinement to the idea

"what’s changed"

Unfortunately the lack of a budget for 2004 meant that this portion of the video was only filmed in DV, though with a little help in 2005, I should be able to purchase the missing equipment that would turn this video into a true Masterpiece. I hope to be able to get the new Sony HD-V video camera so that the bulk of the project will have been filmed in HiDef.

I have some unique lens attachment for a variety of effects, but there are certain shots and situations that require the new lightweight Steadicam Flyer.

As the project nears completion in 2008, I will probably need to invest in the latest computing power, to edit and store all the material, filmed over the four years.

I would also like to invest in some additional cameras, for the live web feeds, ideally these would be web controllable.

So far the unofficial sponsors of this production are, Sony, adobe, discreet, but without their technology this would not have happened at all, So we are hoping t o add them as official sponsors along with a few other selected companies, though the endless list of extras.

 Time Lapse Information

Time lapse is film or video accelerated to make changes apparent not noticeable in real time film. It is proliferating quickly through all forms of multimedia, from Flash to film. It can be seen on all sorts of mainstream television, a large percent of shows use time lapse, especially documentaries. Somewhere around ten percent of all commercials include time lapse. Watch an hour of TV and your likely to see time lapse of some sort.

Time lapse owes it's origins mainly to the film Koyaanisqatsi, a work directed by Godfrey Reggio and filmed by Ronald Fricke.

When you stuggle to keep up with the possibilities of the offered by the latest digital technologies

As Time Passes by so fast, each of us are on a journey, sometimes the path is clear other times its  a slippy slope, currently my path seems clear, with just a few obstacles in the way.. With the 2004 part of the project completed, the momentum is gather pace. New musicians are from all over the world are helping to make  this project one of the most exciting projects I have been involved in. With their help the Liverpool Skyline Project could well be a saving grace in these years of culture & heritage.  To be enjoyed by many people, locally and internationally for years to come.

As most of us spend more and more time watching some kind of TV, or hooked into the computer, this project feeds the senses with something new. It can be used as a relaxation aid, a plasma / computer screen saver, touring exhibit, and can be sold in many venues from shops to museums.

Q: Is this project a Video Art Piece?

A: No Doubt there is an art involved in producing the parts that go into the video like the music, but Time-lapse is not Art, but there is Art in marrying the Music & The Visuals.

Q: With the latest news story of Satchii’s changing interests, effecting the market for Visual Art. Could this affect the reception to this work?

A: I hope not!.

The Potential Markets for this dvd are wide ranging, I am hoping to take Liverpool to the world by 2008, we are currently editing the video for a special screening in the center of Liverpool, and we are looking forward to pleasing the passers by, stimulating local interest...because we spend our lives hooked on TV, with this breath of fresh AIR, in your life you will experience some of the sights that have been keeping me going as I produce perhaps the Ultimate Video of Liverpool,  to be Archived for Public Access well into the future.

 â€™Time keeps slipping away’,

Excuse me while I ramble on on about this and forgive me if I repeat myself, it has been a major part of my life over the last 12 months and will continue to develop in the run up to the Liverpool City Capitol of culture in 2008. By which time this video will have gone through some major work, I only hope the same will be said for the City of Liverpool.

If you look at life, the closer you look the more layers you see, layer upon layer, the way this video has been produced is layer by layer, you could call 2004 the first layer, with each new layer the project becomes more complete & more refined, the words on these pages will change over time, and I hope you can forgive the rough edges, words are not really my forte I preferring the creation of visual communications. The more time you spend in front of the computer, the less time for social interaction, then you forget how to string a sentence together.

While I continue to refine this video in the run upto 2008, I will be slowly adding more material to it, layer upon layer. But in order that I can Finnish this video the way I see it, and the way I would like it to be done needs more technology than I currently have at my disposal, not to mention the amount of post production and editing that will be needed on Four Years of Video Material, I need to raise money now for future developments.

In its current form it is many things already, depending on which aspect of it you are interested in.

It’s a Relaxation Chill-out DVD, a Video Postcard of Liverpool, Souvenir,  Homage to the Cloud that Never Was. Plasma Screen Saver. Exhibition Piece?

I hope people will be able to find this item and I look forward to supplying you a copy, In the

what ever you need it for I hope it is well received
