WING CHUN POLE

The Wing Chun  Look Dim Boon Gwan (Six and a Half Point Pole) technique, is learned after the Mook Yan Jong. The first weapon form is learned when understanding of open hand fighting technique is completely understood.

This weapon is thought to have been added later in the system but it is usually understood to be a throwback from the Shaolin Temple the origin of most martial arts.

As with other fighting arts, Wing Chun is an open hand fighting system primarily and so weapons are learned after fighting ability is acquired. Although a very simple form, having only six and a half techniques, the connotations available to the player are almost infinite. Using the method of the Wing Chun system the person who wields the Wing Chun Pole (Also known known as the Dragon Pole) is a formidable opponent.
