  Flint Mining

Flint mining is a set of four elegies, composed as a rememberance to a childhood in which the atmosphere of a specific area of the South Downs left a powerful impression.

The elegies have a strong 'English' tone and are, on the whole, inspired by early modal writing to capture the essence of place.

1. The Sky Above Cissbury
2. Lament for Mrs Dorothy Jelffs
3. Muntham Court
4. Church Hill
