This piece explores the atmosphere of Cissbury Ring. In memory, the apporach road from Findon Village is a tunnel of trees that eventually opens to a powerful view of the Ring - an ancient Flint Mine that is both sheltering and foreboding. In contrast, the expansive view from the top of the Ring, lying on my back and being lost in changing cloud formations yet feeling rooted to the ancient earth.
