Unlike its near-neighbour, Liège - Bastogne - Liège, the Flèche Wallone has always been held on a variety of courses. In the list of winners below, the start and finish points are given for each version of the race. With recent changes in UCI rules, at around 200km it is a much shorter race than it was even in Hinault's era, when the route was over 250km, just like its older brother.

Le Weekend Ardennais & The Ardennes Double

The Ardennes Double - winning the Flèche Wallone and the Liège - Bastogne - Liège in the same year - has been acommplished on five occasions: Ferdi Kübler in 1951 and 1952; Stan Ockers in 1955; Eddy Merckx in 1972 and Moreno Argentin in 1991.

Between 1950 and 1964, the two races took place on successive days with a combined classification, "Le Weekend Ardennais". The winners were as follows:
