Tom James' Home Page
The Merckxs and Coppis of this world were well documented already, but who cared to preserve the memory of a Vietto, or a Robinson? What can you find here on my site? Well, really it is here principally because of my Professional Cycle Racing Palmarès page. Indeed, if you are reading this page, the chances are that you have visited that site first. It was started in October 1997 to fill what I saw as an obvious gap in the record, a complete listing of winners of major races arranged by rider. The Merckxs and Coppis of this world were well documented already, but who cared to preserve the memory of a Vietto, or a Robinson?
Other than that, this site contains a little biographical information about me and a list of publications and talks. Also, a few miscellaneous cycling things, including a story of a cycle tour or two. One of these days, I shall get around to writing up some other tours - I have a back-log, since I have been cycling since childhood and am now, ahem...somewhat more eligible.
Well, that's about it really. By profession, I'm an Information Designer, working for a company called Digitext, based in Thame in Oxfordshire. If you want to know what one of them does, or just want to discuss cycling-related matters, then send me an e-mail at tomjames38@hotmail.com.
