STUART STEAM ENGINE
I've finally finished (except
for the pipes) my Stuart D10 steam engine. No one was more surprised than me
when it ran first time,
I thought it felt a little stiff but it was real happy
running on 25 psi.
I've had it up to 40 psi and it goes like a fiend. I'm one
very happy kitty :o)

This picture shows the parts of the steam engine kit as you get them, a truck load of castings and things. |

The engine running. This was my first complex project, started before I'd gained much skill. I was so pleased when it ran first time. The engine is running on the same pressure as used for a Badger airbrush. The final segment is with the compressor turned off (most of the previous shots noise was the compressor). The video was taken with a Flip Ultra video camera (little thing, does an hours worth of video. Check it out on Amazon). It's not the HD type. |
