Ravenholm
(5.03MB).
This piece is inspired
by the Ravenholm segment of the game Half-life 2. Erm, don't remember what instruments
I used but you can bet your bottom dollar it was Fantom XR, V-Synth, XV-2020
and Triton Le.
Pretty much an atmosphere
(or should that be atmos-fear) based piece.
Nova
Prospekt (4.6MB).
This piece is also
inspired by Half-life 2. It's the prison section 'Nova Prospekt'. Uses the same
instruments as above (I part ex'd my MoRack for the Fantom XR which I use far
more than I did the Mo). Bit more musical is this one.
Creep
in your attic (5MB).
This is a piece that
came to me out of the blue, so to speak.
Now, we have (whips
out ingredients book) 4 tracks of MoRack and a couple of Supernova IIR tracks,
three V-Synth tracks, Triton Le, SC55 and XV-2020.
By the way, the reference
"Listen to the music, it's that which you fear" relates to psychological horror
movies where the music cues your fear - not what's on the screen - hehehehe.
The
wolves of Fenric (4.6MB).
In this piece, the
wolves are initially finding the scent and the track. Once they get it they
are off at a high run. Now they find the prey and go to stealth mode, turning,
circling, getting ready. The prey becomes aware and all hell breaks loose...
culminating in the end of the prey and the subsidence of massive energy expenditure.
At least that's the way I saw it. Phew! The piece was imspired by Dr. Who. Although
this piece has nothing to do with any imagery from the program. I just liked
the title so it's wolves - and they're doing their thing. You know, tracking,
senting, running, pack hunting, you know, wolfie kinds of things. Enjoy.
Electric
jungle (5.1MB).
The title probably says
it all - hehehehe.
5 tracks of V-Synth.
A pinch of Triton Le (1 track in metric).
3 cups of MoRack (3 metric tracks).
A squeeze of SC55 Sound Canvas (1 metric percussion track).
OK, so I been cooking,
can't help myself, hehehe.
Sheridan's
triumph (5.3MB).
Inspired by Sheridan's
defeat of the Shadows in Babylon 5.
Taken me
a few days to get this one together and contains, as usual, a high track count.
Not so much a high track count - more a high polyphony count, hehehehe.
I forget what went into this now but it was probably everything (clunk-clatter-clang)
oh yeah, the kitchen sink :o)
Christmas
draws near (4.6MB).
Here's an upbeat little
number that I came up with. I love Christmas I do. This pretty much indicates
how I feel about it. I hope you enjoy it.
Little bit o' Mo',
little bit o' XV-2020, a smidgen of SC55 and Triton, and a substantial chunk
of V-Synth.
Here

London
Film and Comic Convention 7-3-2004
I went
to the London Film and Comic convention today (7th of March, 2004) and got
me some autographs (met the stars and spoke pleasantly to them about this
and that).
Most people in the
AvP (Aliens vs Predators) community know me as Anise, it's my pen name and
internet handle (it seemed appropriate as I'm a big Stargate: SG1 fan). So,
it made sense that I met Vanessa Angel who plays Anise/Freya in the television
series:

I also met Tony Amendola
who plays Bra'tac:

Being a Red Dwarf
nut and an Aliens fan it also made sense to make friends with Mac McDonald.
Mac appeared in 'Aliens' special edition as the colony commander:

It was certainly
very nice talking to these people and they all seemed warm and friendly. I
got my picture taken with Vanessa and Tony but I'm not putting them up here
as I'm about as photogenic as 2-day old road-kill!! But here's Mac:

Shame about the quality
of this pic. It was the only one where 'red-eye reduction' flash came on and
it seems to have not taken it properly.
