Centrifugal blower for flowerpot furnace.
The following pictures show the centrifugal blower I made for the flowerpot furnace I made. It shifts truckloads of air for a such a small size, possibly 4 times the volume that the hairdrier fan did.
I've not tried the blower with the furnace yet but it should work really well. The motor is 6V and demands more juice than my power supply can give it so I'm having to use a battery for now. I will make a heavy duty supply so that I can vary the throughput. I may just make a fixed supply and build a butterfly valve into the air pipe.
| The centrifugal blower in all its glory. The diameter of the casing is 60mm (2 3/8"). The outlet was turned, glued in place the the body put on a rotary table and the inside milled to match the internal diameter of the fan case. |
