A candle of my own design (and making). It's a chalk-white pyramid with an Ankh symbol wax-glued to it.

Getting a good symbol was quite difficult and after a couple of unsuccessful attempts at making them I decided to make a proper two part silicone rubber mould. This meant I also had to make a wax injector.

And here it is. A small wax injector designed to inject hot wax into a small mould. Basically, the injector is heated in the same water that heats the wax, the injector is then wiped and used to draw up wax into its body. The hot, liquid wax is then injected into the mould.

This is the injector opened up. It's a tad waxy but there you go.

The plastic parts allow you to operate the injector without getting your pinkies frazzled. Oh yeah, wax at 90°C smarts something chronic.

Finally, the mould. Learnt a few things doing this that I'll put into practice the next time I have to make one.
