Why should I join the club?
Well, if you're into adventure, extreme sports, outdoor pursuits or just want a good laugh then there really is no excuse. There are just two conditions:
1. You are a student of the University Of Wales College Of Medicine or are an alumni of the University.
2. You should have a valid AU card. These have to be purchased by all students wishing to take part in any sporting events (caving and canyoning included) organised by one of the Union's official clubs. They cost £10 and cover the insurance and running costs of the Athletics Union. You can buy one from the lovely people at Medclub.
If you answered yes to the above then there really is nothing stopping you.
We supply the kit (as long as you don't take size 13 wellies!) just bring yourself and tons of enthusiam.
We regularly run trips on Wednesday afternoons and all day Saturday to local caves, canyons, viaducts etc. Caving obviously predominates in the winter months because it's warmer and vice versa!
Trips leave 1:30pm weds from medclub and 10:30am Sat unless otherwise stated.
