Balmer Commander Unitas 6431 (Limited edition of 400)
The Unitas 6431 movement is one of a number of surviving calibers some watch companies are turning to for limited production models. These movements are New Old Stock that were never assembled into watches, until now. A new watch is literally designed around these restored movements and they are very collectible, because the movement is truly a Unitas movement and not a modern ETA. My watch is number 4/400 and was obtained after I sent an Email to the director of Balmer Watches stating that, the Balmer Commanders were difficult to obtain in the UK because of the way they were being distributed in the USA. I received a very courteous reply and was allowed to purchase one directly from Balmer. My thanks to everyone at Balmer Watches, USA.

Kienzle Atlantis Mechanique (mechanical) Unitas 6497
My collection of Unitas watches includes 2 Kienzle Atlantis Mechaniques. I have two black dialled watches both illustrated below. On the left hand picture you will notice it has the full set of digits, 1-12 with only the 9 missing, replaced by the sub second dial. On the right hand picture only the even digits are present, the odd digits being replaced by simple luminous hour markers. Apparently the watch with the full set of digits is the older, and very rare, model.
